What HTTPS tells you about a COME APK source

HTTPS protects a connection to a website. It does not by itself prove the publisher, contents or safety of an APK offered there.

Understand the connection

A secure connection helps prevent the network from simply reading or modifying traffic in transit. It still connects you to the hostname shown in the address bar. A misleading website can also use HTTPS, so check the actual destination.

Review the file separately

Read the offered app identity and version information, then pay attention to browser and Android warnings. Matching branding, a padlock symbol or a neat download page does not replace those checks. Leave Google Play Protect enabled.

Handle warnings directly

If the browser reports a certificate problem, avoid entering credentials and use its guidance. If Android reports a harmful app, stop installation. These are different warnings at different stages; neither should be solved by turning off unrelated protection.

A useful next step

Combine source checks with file details and the device's own installation decisions.
